  • Charles Jordan

    Pastor

First United Methodist Church of Lake Jackson was my church home for the first eighteen years of my life until heading to Lon Morris College. From Lon Morris I went to Texas State graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. While at Lon Morris I was blessed to work at Jefferson UMC as a summer youth director and received my call into the ministry. Immediately after undergraduate studies I attended Perkins School of Theology. In 1987, Shannon and I were married. We are blessed to have five children (2 married - 3 teenagers still at home) and four grandchildren. We home school our children. I have served at Point UMC, New London UMC,  Brookshire UMC, FUMC in Grand Saline and FUMC in Teague, and Lake Houston UMC. We began our journey at Woodcrest in July of 2015. My life verse is Psalm 107:1-2 "Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever. Let the redeemed of the Lord say this - those he has redeemed from the land of the foe." I am so grateful that I have been redeemed! spreading this good news and living it out with those around me continues to be a joy as I serve the Body of Christ.

I was born and raised in Southeast Texas. I continued my studies in Music at Lamar University and graduated with a Bachelor of arts in music performance in May 2014. In November of 2015, I married my college sweetheart Austin Wolfe. I began my journey at Woodcrest in September of 2014 as the choir director. In April of 2015 I was promoted to full time Director of Music Ministries. The Lord guided every step I ever took and has brought me to this wonderful church.
